A piece of paper wearable art created for 2018 Paper on Skin competition. I was very fortunate to be awarded Public Vote Award sponsored by Cocoon Design.

This wearable was inspired by the only female emperor in China Wu Zetian. Her story was retold and wrote into books, movies and series. This particular red Hanfu was inspired by "Empress of China" a renowned Chinese series about the life of Wu Zetian, lead by actress Fan Bing Bing. She wore this red Hanfu during her coronation as the empress by the Emperor Li Zheng.
